It's All About the Engines

History Of Engines

Engines are a very common type of machinery today. The idea of the engine originated as early as the sixteen hundreds. The earliest recorded idea of the internal combustion engine was the idea invented by Christian Huygens in 1680. His idea was an engine that had fuel comprised of gun powder. His idea was the first recorded, but the least successful. Then after years of contemplating over new ideas for a successful working engine Nicolaus Otto came into the picture in 1876 with his new idea. His idea was very close to the modern type of format that we work by today in engine production. He was considered famous because he invented the first successfully working four stroke engine. He called this engine the ‘Otto Cycle’.  The idea of engines went as far back as those times and took over 200 years to become successful.
